Michael | 2017

I have so much to share. I've had my camera in my hand more in the past 4 months than in the past 2 years, and I'm so grateful to be steadily creating.

Tonight, I'm showing off my family (again!) and the 4th senior photo session with a cousin on my mama's side of the family.

I only have one cousin left after this one, so I'm soaking up the honor of documenting the lives of my favorite people.

This is my cousin, Michael. He is a rock star and a future engineer who is off to Virginia Tech in just a few short weeks.

We took a walk through downtown Fort Wayne over Easter Weekend and grabbed these gems on an unseasonably warm day. Shout out to my hilarious aunts/assistants for their inspiration and photo shoot playlist. And my baby cousin has now tagged along for two shoots, so I know she'll be ready when her time comes around in a few years.

Family is oh so important.

Take a road trip, book the plane ticket, pick up the phone, mail a letter. Do ALL the things to show your family how much you love them.

Cheers to you, Michael!

Make us proud at VT. Go HOKIES!

Adelyn | 2017

This friendship was ordained by the heavens.

That's without question.

I'm honored, humble, and grateful that God saw fit to weave our stories together so closely.

We've built a precious friendship on the Psalms, ice cream, porch swings, snail-mail, grocery stores, tennis matches, watercolors, prayers, tears, and a lot of joy.

Add is unlike any other 18 year old you've ever met. Her life is a sweet melody of grace, courage, kindness, and resiliency. And that's before you've heard her sing or play the piano/guitar/ukulele.

We had so much fun traveling to some sacred places to grab these photos.

Then again, any time spent with Addie is full of light and joy.

My Girl Add,

I treasure our friendship and all the ways you've changed my life for the better.

I'm so proud of you and I'm proud to be your friend.

Thanks for loving me and for letting me take your senior photos.

Your best days are ahead of you. And I can't wait to witness them.

With love,

Sydney | 2017

Raise your hand if you're in shock that it's already almost SEPT.EM.BER.
Raise your other hand if you're stugglin with the fact that 2017 is swiftly approaching.

But, I AINT MAD. Mostly because 2017 just happens to be the graduation year for some of my absolute favorite high schoolers in this entire city.

This little lady is one of them.

Syd is so authentic and adventurous.
She was down for anything. And more than willing to explore a few.... unfinished... buildings in downtown Springfield.

I'm not sure anyone could have made this dilapidated space look so good.
And she didn't even have to try.

how cute is she with that hat and those braids?

shout out to 'lil poopy' for joining our photoshoot.

Nothin' quite like sisters.
Side note: I can't believe it's been almost two years since I took Tori's senior photos

You are so true to yourself and honestly, it's the most beautiful thing. You are unique and funny and a joy to be around.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your fam/fan club.

P.s. Uncle Jeff + Aunt Cindy + Tori--- thank you for coming along and bringing the keys/VIP access, laughter, and awesome genetics.

Sarah | 2016

Hello out there---

MIA doesn't even begin to describe the past year on this little corner of the internet, but I'm breaking my silence to share some of my favorite photos ever taken.

This beautiful girl + the autumn leaves + 5 wonderfully hilarious assistants made for an incredibly memorable quick October photoshoot on the Monon Trail in Carmel, IN.

Our family experienced a great deal of pain and loss that month, but it brought us all to the same space, and for that I'll always be grateful.

These images are a slice of evidence of my incredible family. And the extravagant joy, love and laughter that comes with being on Team Heminger.

I dare you not to smile while viewing these photos of my gem of a cousin, Sarah.

You are a delight. A little firecracker. A joy who makes us all laugh.
I absolutely loved growing up together in Fort Wayne, but growing older, though states apart, is even better.

You are loved, sweet, sassy girl. Your humor and wit are gifts to our family.

Thank you for making the word "cousin" ever so sweet.

It's been 5 days since I last hugged you and I miss you already. I know I talk a big game, but it's about time I make my way back down to Texas. Stay tuned on that one...

With love,

Hannah | 2016

I've been a little quiet this year. Mostly because 2015 has been WILD in all sorts of ways.

Here's to a new year approaching and my first senior photo shoot for the Class of 2016.

Meet Hannah.

A natural beauty and a gem in front of the camera.

We had ourselves quite a bit of fun with an awesome assistant and a snazzy little black hat.

Loved everything about this photoshoot.

Especially that it reminded me of the joy in carrying around a camera.

So much more to come. Thanks for stopping by!
