a FULL October

Hi everyone!

I've been pretty quiet on the blog this month due to a crazy/busy/fun/incredible month!

I've been in a different city each weekend of October starting back to weekend #1 with a trip to Portland, Oregon!

I took this trip out West to spend some much needed time with some of my favorite humans ever. My mom's brother lives in Portland with his wife and three of my cousins.

Even with some unfortunate weather, it was the best trip a girl could ask for. In the Heminger family, we come alive when we are together. When there are 6 siblings and 14 cousins who live in 5 states (technically 7) all over the country, it's hard to get together, but when we do.. we do it RIGHT.

The family that eats, runs, eats some more, and then laughs uncontrollably together STAYS together.

I can't even begin to tell you people how much I love being a part of this family!

check out these beautiful Oregonians!

My cousin Amanda and I spent part of her birthday going for a little run around Nike's headquarters (where my other cousin Melanie works). Of course we had to take a lap around the training track that is located INSIDE the woods.

As long as you're wearing some form of Nike gear, you fit in!

Two days after returning from Oregon (on what was the craziest flying/airport experience of my life.. woof), I drove home to FW to jump in the car with my family to drive up to Chicago and Evanston, IL for the Northwestern v. Ohio State football game.

In case you've been living under a rock for the past few decades, the Houser family LOVES football. Witnessing College Game Day live was heaven on earth for this team of four. We loved every part of this weekend minus the scoreboard at the end of the night. Regardless, another great weekend spent with my family in our natural habitat (AKA a football field).

The weekend after our trip to Evanston, I took a little road trip to Bloomington, IN for an engagement shoot that I can't wait to show you!  After the shoot, I drove north to another home away from home, Carmel, IN. I was able to spend time with another part of the family AND I was able to spend some quality time with one of my best friends, Riley at our favorite little place, Petite Chou.

AND this weekend, I came home to the Fort to spend some time as a Pembertonian, grab coffee with my dear friends, talk about life with my Gramie, spend Sunday morning with an incredible church community, and watch my beloved Peyton Manning AND my beloved Colts play in the same game.

How's that for a fun whirlwind?!

If you're still with me at this point, THANK YOU. I promise I have beautiful photos to show you in the upcoming days and weeks!

COMING SOON on the blog:

- a post about the greatest present for the greatest parents (why yes, I am still patting myself on the back for this anniversary present.)

- a sweet engagement shoot

- a beautiful senior shoot

Have a great week everyone!

BIG love to you,
