engagement

Rachel & Trey

Let me start by saying if you haven't been to Bloomington, Indiana in the fall, what HAVE you been doing?

This engagement shoot gave me a lovely excuse to venture west on 70 to Bloomington, IN, home of the Hoosiers and Casey, one of my best friends from high school!

The pretty gal you will see in these photos is actually Casey's older sister, Rachel. And I have Rachel (and Ashlee, one of Rachel's best friends from high school) to thank for my own friendship with Casey. (Rachel and Ashlee said.. "ok, you two need to be friends" ....and the rest is history.)

Rachel and her fiance, Trey, met in South Padre, TX, while they were both vacationing on Spring Break. These two love the beach, so they're getting married on one! (I could go for some sun and sand right now. Then again, I could ALWAYS go for some sun and sand.)

Their wedding will be in Florida  next July, and it will be amazing. Until then, here are a few of the photos I snapped while taking a walk with them through IU's campus:

Rach & Trey,

Thanks for showing me around IU and letting me snap these photos. You guys are a great duo, and your beach wedding is going to be perfecto. I can just feel it.

Much love!

Ahh, I can't believe October is ending. Fall is disappearing right before our eyes. Go outside and enjoy it, people!

Eliza & Chris

I really really like my friends.

I also really really like taking photos of them---mostly because it means that I get to spend time with them.

Chris and I have been friends since our second day of college when I met him and his roommate Ryan (who you've seen here) at lunch in the beloved CDR at Witt. I met Eliza soon after when she would make the short trip over to Springfield to visit her own friends.  (But then we became friends and I'm oh so glad we did.)

Eliza and Jarvis (as I call him) are getting married in March in Wittenberg's Chapel, which is BEAUTIFUL. There are so many of us who can't wait for that day!

Until then, here are a few of their engagement photos that we took in and near Yellow Springs, OH. If you've never been to the Yellow Springs area, you need to. You are missing out on a little piece of hippie paradise. Not to mention all the local eateries are amazing.

Check out these beautiful people:

I love all the stories that surround this ring and I really love how much Eliza loves it!  Did you clean it today, E?

This guy is the best. He used to come over to our house just to kill bugs for us. Eliza, you'll never have to kill a bug again!
